As we continue to grow, we are creating specialized departments and are looking for a sharp, data-driven Email Marketing Strategist to join as a founding member of our new Strategy Department.
This is an opportunity to focus purely on strategy—no account management tasks—where you’ll serve as the strategic mind behind our US-based client campaigns. Your role will involve building roadmaps, analyzing performance, optimizing deliverability, and transforming data into actionable strategies that generate tangible results.
This position is primarily behind the scenes, with minimal client-facing interaction, but offers significant opportunities to shape the department, establish best practices, and grow into a leadership role as the team expands.

Remote Work Details:
* Full-time, remote position.
* Collaborate with US-based D2C e-commerce clients.
* Must have significant overlap with CST (UTC-6) business hours, ideally 9am–5pm CST.
What You’ll Do:
Strategy & Planning
* Build comprehensive email marketing roadmaps and customer journey maps aligned with client goals.
* Conduct account audits to identify opportunities and develop improvement plans.
* Create strategic briefs for campaigns and automation workflows (welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back flows, behavioral triggers).
* Develop opt-in strategies and list growth tactics, including pop-ups, lead magnets, forms, and subscriber acquisition campaigns.
* Design segmentation and personalization strategies based on data insights.
* Partner with Account Managers to interpret analytics and translate insights into recommendations.
* Develop A/B testing strategies for continuous optimization.
* Audit existing flow setups to ensure technical accuracy and strategic alignment.
Technical Excellence & Deliverability
* Monitor and optimize email deliverability (98%+ inbox placement).
* Troubleshoot spam complaints, bounce rates, and sender reputation issues.
* Stay current with ISP policies, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and deliverability trends.
* Implement list hygiene and management best practices.
* Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
Analytics & Reporting
* Analyze key metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, revenue, ROI) and identify trends.
* Create reports and presentations that turn complex data into clear insights.
* Complete monthly strategic reviews and quarterly roadmap updates with actionable next steps.
* Track KPIs and use findings to inform future strategies.
Department Building & Growth
* Help define processes, frameworks, and best practices for the Strategy Department.

* Collaborate with Account Managers, creative teams, and developers to execute strategic visions.
* Create templates, frameworks, and documentation to enhance team efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:
* 3–5 years of email marketing strategy experience for D2C/e-commerce brands (agency or multi-client environment preferred).
* Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Klaviyo (required); familiarity with Mailchimp, Active Campaign, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
* Experience using FigJam/Figma (or similar) for customer journey mapping.
* Comfortable working with Monday.com and Agency Analytics (or similar tools).
* Strong understanding of deliverability, spam management, bounce handling, and email best practices.
* Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
* Understanding of A/B testing and statistical significance.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple accounts.
* Availability during CST business hours (9am–5pm CST) with reliable internet and a professional home office setup.
* Experience with US-based brands or clients is a strong plus.

* Drive a minimum 5x ROI through strategic optimization.
* Maintain 98%+ deliverability with spam rates below 0.1%.
* Deliver monthly reviews and quarterly roadmaps for all accounts.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency.
