About the RoleAttentive is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join Attentive’s legal team. A successful candidate should have superb legal experience and strong business judgment. They will help structure, draft, and review Attentive’s software agreements with customers and contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers. They will work closely with our revenue, marketing, finance, people, and product teams.Location is flexible, however, working hours will be based on East Coast time (i.e., starting work day at 9am ET).What You'll AccomplishStructure, draft, and review SaaS agreements and Data Protection Agreements with clients and contracts with strategic partners, vendors and service providersWork closely with internal business teams to identify, investigate, and manage legal risk across a wide range of product, marketing, and business initiativesEngage in customer-facing communication regarding our contractsHelp formulate legal policy and process across the organization as it matures and growsRemain knowledgeable on relevant industry and privacy laws and regulationsYour ExpertiseJuris Doctor degree and qualified to practice law in-house in New York or the state where you liveAt least four (4) years of commercial legal experienceExperience in drafting and negotiating SaaS and other technology agreements – either in-house or on behalf of a clientAble to provide legally sound, pragmatic and practical recommendations under tight deadlinesA strong “business-friendly” style that comes with an understanding that the Legal team’s primary purpose is to support the growth and success of the businessEnthusiastic, flexible and energetic with a results-oriented mindsetAdtech/Martech experience is a plus but not requiredYou'll get competitive perks and benefitsYou'll get competitive perks and benefits, from health & wellness to equity, to help you bring your best self to work.For US based applicants:The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000 - $175,000 annually + equity + benefitsOur salary ranges are determined by role, level and locationAttentive Company ValuesDefault to Action - Move swiftly and with purposeBe One Unstoppable Team - Rally as each other’s championsChampion the Customer - Our success is defined by our customers' successAct Like an Owner - Take responsibility for Attentive’s successLearn more about AWAKE, Attentive’s collective of employee resource groups.If you do not meet all the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply!
