Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. At Bellese, we’re relentlessly focused on enabling and empowering providers to focus on improving the quality and safety of patient care.As a Senior Engineer:You contribute meaningfully to the success of one or more projects or products, helping drive positive outcomes.You demonstrate proficiency and specialized skill in one or more key technologies relevant to the team’s goals.You accurately scope, estimate, design, and deliver medium-to-large features while actively reducing technical debt across projects or products.You proactively support and collaborate with team members, fostering a positive and productive team environment.You adhere to established team processes, ensuring a steady and reliable delivery of features to production.These are the types of things you’ll be working on Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teammates, external teams, and client stakeholders to ensure quality considerations are integrated at every stage of the SDLC. Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and relevant documentation that align with software specifications and user requirements to ensure thorough testing of features and functionalities.Bug Tracking and Resolution: Utilize bug-tracking tools to document, prioritize, and track defects. Facilitate communication across teams to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.Quality Metrics and Standards: Establish and enforce standards and best practices. Your adaptability and ability to navigate challenges ensure your success in any situation.Required Skills / QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8+ years of development experienceExperience with Java / SpringbootExperience with GoLang, Python, Angular or TypeScript, and Java (at least 2)Cloud experience, preferably AWSExperience in Agile development methodologyExperience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably TerraformExperience with fully automated CI/CD pipelines from commit through production deploymentStrong relational database experience such as PostgreSQLExperience working with HL7 FHIR standards, including resources, profiles, and implementation guidesExperience building or integrating RESTful APIs aligned to FHIR specificationsFamiliarity with FHIR R4 and healthcare interoperability patternsExperience working with healthcare data formats such as QRDA, C-CDA, or claims dataUnderstanding of digital quality measurement concepts, including eCQM and dQMExperience with Clinical Quality Language (CQL) or exposure to measure logic executionExperience working with FHIR servers such as HAPI FHIR or similar platformsExperience designing or consuming FHIR resources such as Measure, MeasureReport, Patient, Encounter, and ObservationUnderstanding of data validation, data quality, and regulatory reporting constraints in healthcare systemsDesired Skills / QualificationsAWS CertificationsExperience with AWS ECS Fargate, AWS RDS, AWS S3Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD toolsExperience with Databricks or modern data platformsExperience working with large-scale healthcare reporting or analytics systemsFamiliarity with CMS environments, data pipelines, or regulatory programs
