Role Description: - This is a contract, on-site role based in Coppull for a Chef / Kitchen Assistant at Springfield Care Home. - The role includes daily tasks such as preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring high standards of kitchen cleanliness, managing stock and supplies, and assisting in creating menus that are both nutritionally balanced and appealing. - The Chef / Kitchen Assistant will closely follow food safety standards and collaborate with the care team to provide meals that align with individual residents' preferences and dietary requirements. Qualifications: - Experience in cooking and food preparation, including the ability to create nutritionally balanced and tailored meals. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. - Strong teamwork, time management, and organizational skills. - Basic kitchen assistance capabilities, such as food prep, stock management, and cleaning. - Experience in dietary planning for specialized needs is a plus. - Prior experience in a care home or community support environment is beneficial. - Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
