Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Legal Assistant (Level 3) with extensive experience in employment-based immigration to join our team on a full-time, C2C contract basis. Location and Schedule: - This is an on-site (not remote) role based in Colombia (and open to candidates in Mexico and Kenya). - You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Primary Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with attorneys, HR teams, and clients. - Take ownership of the preparation, filing, and follow-up of employment-based immigration petitions. - Thorough collection and review of employer-sponsored documents. - Drafting supporting documentation for visas, extensions, and changes of status. - Maintaining strict control of files and timelines to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years of intermediate-to-advanced experience in processing work visas. - Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or 90%). - Demonstrable and mandatory experience handling L-1, PERM, H-1B, and TN cases. - Knowledge of complex petitions such as EB-1, O-1, or E-2 will be considered an asset. Compensation: - The minimum monthly compensation varies depending on the country of residence. - COP 4,850,000 for Colombia. - MXN 26,900 for Mexico. - KES 85,000 to KES 120,000 for Kenya. - ARS 1,900 for Argentina.
