This role supports a U.S.-based leadership team and conducts sensitive conversations in English. About Volt The Volt Studios is a women-led, full-service digital agency helping brands grow through strategy, performance marketing, and digital experiences. We are fast-paced, high-accountability, and remote-first. We are not looking for traditional HR administration. We are looking for someone who understands people deeply. The Role We are hiring a Team Psychologist / People & Performance Advisor to support leadership on sensitive HR and team matters. This is not a paperwork-heavy HR role. This is a judgment-heavy role. You will help: - Navigate conflict. - Support performance conversations. - Coach managers on difficult discussions. - Identify cultural risks early. - Strengthen team accountability without damaging morale. - Build emotionally intelligent feedback systems. - Advise on team structure and leadership dynamics. You are calm under pressure. You see patterns quickly. You can read between the lines. You bring maturity and grounded presence. What You’ll Own - Advising leadership on employee relations and sensitive issues. - Participating in or guiding performance improvement conversations. - Designing emotionally intelligent performance review frameworks. - Supporting conflict resolution when needed. - Providing leadership coaching for managers. - Strengthening cultural alignment in a growing remote team. You may collaborate with an operational HR partner for documentation and systems. Ideal Background - Degree in Psychology, Organizational Psychology, HR, or related field. - 5+ years working in corporate environments or consulting. - Experience with remote and international teams. - Strong emotional intelligence. - Ability to remain objective in high-stakes conversations. - Comfortable advising founders directly. Bonus: - Experience in fast-growing startups or agencies. - Background in mediation or leadership coaching. Structure - Independent contractor role. - 8–15 hours per week. - Scope-based assignments. - Hourly structure. - Flexible scheduling with overlap during U.S. business hours. Compensation $10–15 USD per hour. (Dependent on experience and demonstrated capability). We are looking for senior-level judgment, not junior HR coordination. This Role Is NOT For - Candidates seeking full-time guaranteed salary. - Administrative-only HR profiles. - Entry-level HR professionals. - Candidates without strong English fluency. What Success Looks Like - Leadership feels supported during sensitive conversations. - Conflict is addressed early, not after escalation. - Managers grow more confident in giving feedback. - Culture becomes clearer and stronger — not softer.
