Position Overview:
We are looking for a Windows Patch Management Specialist to join the Automation Team and take full ownership of Windows and 3rd-party patch compliance across a large, distributed endpoint environment. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with Kaseya VSA 9.x—particularly within the Software Management 2.0 and 3rd-Party Software 2.0 modules—as well as strong PowerShell skills for automation and remediation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring full visibility, consistent compliance, and detailed documentation across a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all Windows OS and 3rd-party software patching processes across client environments.
Configure and optimize Kaseya VSA 9.x patching modules (Software Management 2.0 and 3rd-Party Software 2.0).
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for remediation and automation tasks.
Maintain visibility and compliance reporting, ensuring timely patch cycles and full endpoint coverage.
Troubleshoot patch failures and software update conflicts with minimal supervision.
Create clear, technically descriptive documentation and escalation reports.
Contribute to update strategy planning, including exception handling and rollback workflows.
Qualifications:
Proven, hands-on expertise with Kaseya VSA 9.x, including Software Management 2.0.
Advanced PowerShell scripting for diagnostics and remediation.
Strong grasp of enterprise patching strategies, including update deferrals and compliance standards.
Experience supporting 1,000+ endpoint environments, ideally across multiple clients or sites.
Strong written English and documentation skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-tenant environment.
Exposure to fleets of 5,000+ devices.
Familiarity with Windows update telemetry, patch compliance dashboards, and reporting tools.
Experience working with Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) and Semi-Annual Channel (SAC) update lifecycles.
