The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager – Revenue & AR to own Caraway’s omni-channel revenue accounting and wholesale AR functions across DTC, Amazon, and retail partners. This role will be the core owner of revenue reconciliation, AR accuracy, channel settlement validation, and audit-ready documentation, ensuring our reported topline and cash flows are complete, accurate, and supported.This role is designed for someone who thrives in complex, high-volume environments and enjoys diving into data, systems, and cross-channel flows. You will collaborate closely with Retail, Ops, and the Systems team to strengthen our end-to-end revenue and AR processes, resolve issues at the source, and build scalable workflows that support Caraway’s growth.Who You Are:You thrive in omni-channel accounting environments where DTC, Amazon, and wholesale revenue all coexist - and you understand how those ecosystems flow through an ERP, payment processors, and retail portals.You are: Highly skilled in DTC revenue tie-outs, settlement matching, and cross-system reconciliationsConfident owning wholesale AR, deductions research, cash application, and retailer portal reconciliationsAdvanced in Excel and comfortable with formulas, pivots, lookups, and structured financial analysisExperienced navigating ERPs (we use Fulfil) and middleware tools to trace data back to it’s root causeComfortable partnering cross-functionally to identify issues, explain variances, and propose solutionsOrganized, methodical, and motivated by building clean, repeatable month-end processesCurious and improvement-minded - you like understanding why something is wrong and designing a fixAudit-ready in how you document reconciliations, logic, and assumptionsPositive, solutions-oriented, and able to prioritize in a high-growth environmentYou enjoy tactical work but think like an owner. You want to make processes better - not just keep them running.Responsibilities:Revenue AccountingOwn the end-to-end revenue close across all channels, including DTC, Amazon, wholesale, and dropship, by reconciling settlements to the ERP and payment processors, validating cutoff accuracy, resolving SKU, promo, and tax variances, and ensuring revenue is complete, accurate, and audit-ready each month.Wholesale AR ManagementManage wholesale and retail AR from invoicing through cash application and reconciliation, including researching deductions, resolving payment discrepancies, maintaining clean aging, and partnering with Retail, Ops, and Logistics to address recurring issues at the root cause.Reconciliations & Close SupportPerform monthly reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts such as returns reserves, promotional accruals, gift card liability, and deferred revenue; prepare supporting journal entries; and contribute to a timely, accurate month-end close.Audit, Compliance & DocumentationPrepare revenue and AR audit schedules, maintain clear and organized documentation for external auditors and banking partners, and ensure all revenue-related workflows and customer setups are properly documented and compliant throughout the year.Process Improvement & SystemsIdentify opportunities to automate revenue and AR workflows, strengthen data accuracy across ERP and middleware tools, streamline settlement processes, and proactively flag risks or gaps to accounting leadership while partnering cross-functionally to drive scalable process improvements.Role Requirements:6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in omni-channel revenue or wholesale ARDirect experience reconciling DTC revenue (Shopify, PayPal, Affirm)Strong wholesale AR exposure: retailer portals, deductions, EDI payments, cash applicationExperience with full cycle accountingAdvanced Excel user (comfort with XLOOKUPs, pivots, nested formulas)Expert in reconciliation logic, variance analysis, and root-cause investigationComfortable with ERP systems (Fulfil experience a plus) and payment/middleware toolsExperience supporting audits, close processes, and high-growth environmentsStrong communication skills - able to work cross-functionallyAbility to manage complex workflows independently as an individual contributorExperience at a consumer brandThe anticipated base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience.
