DescriptionVetsEZ is seeking a full-time, 100% remote Accounting Associate to join our accounting team in supporting both our internal operations and partner organizations. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of our partners and subcontractors by assisting with day-to-day accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and upholding established accounting principles and procedures.The candidate must reside within the continental US.ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll on a semi-monthly basis.Process timekeeping data and conduct audits as required.Process and enter all vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Monitor HSA/FSA/IRA contributions for CAP limitations.Collect and maintain financial data, ensuring that all reporting complies with departmental/customer procedures and policies.Compile financial data in preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations during the month-end close analytical procedures to support forecasting future revenues and expenses (as applicable), including reconciliations and journal entries.As necessary, assist employees throughout the Company in their efforts to better understand Company accounting policies and reporting requirements.Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.1-3 years of relevant corporate accounting experience.Experience or familiarity working with generally accepted accounting principles.Familiarity with ERP systems and DCAA compliance requirements.Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.Ability to work independently and in a team environment and effectively interact with colleagues and Company employees across all functions and levels.Ability to adapt and to find new ways of understanding problems or improving processes.Additional QualificationsUnanet or Deltek Cost Point experience is a plus.Knowledge of Federal Government cost accounting principles and regulations.Ability to obtain a government clearance.BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision401k with Employer MatchPTO + Federal HolidaysCorporate LaptopTraining opportunitiesRemote OpportunityNoteSelected candidates will be required to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.VetsEZ is an equal opportunity employer.
