This is your chance to join a high performing team, shape borrower experiences nationwide, and grow your career with a company that’s committed to your success.This is a remote, work from home opportunity — giving you flexibility while staying connected to a team that has your back.  Remote work applicants may not work from the following states:  California.What You’ll Do:  Evaluate and underwrite mortgage loans for compliance with agency, investor, and internal guidelinesReview credit, income, assets, tax returns, appraisals, title, insurance, fraud tools — and deliver clear, accurate credit decisionsDocument precise income and asset calculations and articulate well‑supported approval rationaleIssue conditions and final decisions within established SLAsReview and clear conditions with accuracy and urgencySupport pre‑funding audits, investor audits, and review‑desk inquiriesPartner with Loan Officers, Processors, and Closers to ensure smooth, timely closingsStay current on guideline updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practicesContribute to QC reviews and continuous improvement across the departmentWhat You’ll Need:5+ years current/recent frontline mortgage underwriting experience DE and/or SAR certifications preferred Deep knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and Jumbo guidelines Proficiency in LOS/AUS platforms (Encompass, DU, LPA) Strong analytical, credit, and risk assessment skills Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to stay sharp in a high volume environment A proactive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to multitask and meet deadlinesHigh-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).**Please note that the compensation and benefit information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable state and local laws on pay transparency. It is estimated based on what a successful applicant in the relevant state might be paid. **   Compensation:The hourly rate for this position ranges between $28 - $38 per hour plus bonus based upon individual performance.
