Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Freight Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations. In this role, you will act as the central communication hub between drivers, shippers, and customers. You will be responsible for routing shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring all freight arrives safely and on schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule and assign loads to drivers, provide clear route instructions, and manage driver check-ins and check-outs. - Monitor real-time progress of freight using GPS and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries. - Actively identify and resolve issues such as traffic delays, route changes, or mechanical breakdowns, keeping clients and carriers informed. - Accurately process and manage shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proof of Deliveries (PODs). - Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and assist in ensuring adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and safety regulations.
