Requirements and responsibilities

Araways is hiring a Remote, Full-Time C2C Contractual Senior Virtualization Engineer for a 6-12 month project.Key Responsibilities:Virtualization Lifecycle: Configure and integrate KVM-based environments and Cloud Hypervisor instances.Deep-Dive Troubleshooting: Resolve hypervisor and VM-level issues, providing formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.Performance Tuning: Optimize compute, networking (SDN/VLANs), and storage (NFS) layers.Hardware Alignment: Implement NUMA optimization and hardware-assisted virtualization tuning for peak performance.Technical Requirements:Hypervisor Mastery: Advanced understanding of KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, and Cloud Hypervisor architecture.Virtual Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of virtualization networking (bridges, SDN) and storage protocols.Automation: Strong scripting skills in Golang, Python, or Bash for environment automation.Low-Level Debugging: Proven ability to tune host performance and debug complex virtualization bottlenecks.Deliverables:Technical incident reports and formal RCAs (P1/P2).Configuration reviews and architectural best-practice documentation.Knowledge transfer sessions to upskill internal technical teams.Required Experience: 7+ years in Linux Systems Engineering & Virtualization
