The problem is simple: turn messy healthcare data into actions.This role sits between data, forecasting models, and optimization. You own forecasts end to end and work directly with the optimization layer. Shape inputs, validate outputs, and turn results into something operators can use.What You’ll DoForecasting model ownershipBuild and iterate production grade demand and volume forecastsEvaluate models with backtesting and real-world performanceMaintain stability with retraining, drift monitoring, and failure handlingImprove models based on operational outcomesSit at intersection of data and optimizationDefine input data contracts for optimization models including capacity, constraints, and demandTransform raw data into model-ready features and constraintsValidate solver outputs and identify infeasibility, constraint conflicts, and scaling issuesTrace issues back to data assumptions and constraint designConvert outputs into usable schedules and recommendationsModel + system validationCompare model output to operational reality and explain gapsRun scenario analyses under different constraintsImprove pipelines that support forecasting and optimization qualityTest assumptions against real-world variationCommunication / translationExplain models and outputs to non-technical users including operators and clientsTranslate tradeoffs between accuracy, feasibility, and constraintsDeliver clear recommendations tied to business outcomesParticipate in client conversations and defend model behaviorWhat We’re Looking ForQualifications5+ years in data science or applied analyticsExperience owning forecasting models in productionStrong Python and SQL, comfortable with large datasetsExperience working with messy dataAbility to explain technical work clearly to non-technical usersPreferred SkillsExperience in healthcare or complex operational environments such as staffing or capacity planningExperience with capacity-constrained systemsFamiliarity with solvers such as GurobiWhy You’ll Love Working HereMission-driven team tackling real healthcare challenges.Freedom to experiment and innovate without layers of bureaucracy.Opportunity to shape the company’s data science culture and R&D direction.Flexible work environment and supportive, intellectually curious teammates.Additional InformationJob Type: Contracted, PT/FT, RemoteCompensation: Hourly, potential to go Full-Time, Perm.potential for an annual performance bonus, and/or equity.Culture: We foster a collaborative, engaging, mission-driven culture that values innovation and prioritizes customer success.
