Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer (+5 years experience with Java, Spring, SQL, and Microservices) for one of our clients, which works with two Recognitions & Rewards web applications. The hiring modality is a contractor with a salary in USD. We also offer important perks such as holidays, paid vacations, PTOS, and flexible hours. The ideal candidate will have: - 4+ years of work experience with Java 8+ - Strong back-end Java development and the corresponding stack (J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, open source libraries, etc.). - Unit testing - Experience working in a microservices environment. - Building scalable software in a multi-tenanted environment using software engineering best practices - Good-to-great DB (Microsoft SQL Server) chops that include complex SQL query development and path optimizations. - Good-to-have: python, AWS (S3, SQS, Cloudwatch, Lambdas, etc.), Elasticsearch, Logstash, Gradle, - Problem-solving. - Proactive - Independence and autonomy - Able to analyze problems and come back to the team with a solution or different approaches to discuss - Good communication skills
