Requirements and responsibilities

Responsibilities: * Define and execute quality strategy: Define and execute manual and automated QA processes for the company, including designing, documenting, and running test plans for UI, API, and backend functionalities. * Build and maintain test automation: Create and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress or Playwright, and build robust API test suites with Postman or similar tools. * Integrate with CI/CD: Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins. Design and implement performance testing, and introduce security and static analysis tools such as Snyk or SonarQube into automated workflows. * Collaborate and mentor: Partner with engineers, DevOps, and product managers to ensure a quality-first culture. Mentor developers on testing best practices and manage bug tracking and communication. Requirements: * Experience: 5+ years in QA engineering with a strong background in both automation and manual testing. * Front-end and API testing: Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks, and API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured. * Technical skills: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripting, and experience with CI/CD pipeline integration, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS environments. * Knowledge: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and basic database validation. Bonus skills: * Experience with load and performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter. * Familiarity with static code analysis and security scanning tools. * Exposure to AI/ML-powered products or testing AI workflows. * Experience as the first QA hire or building QA processes from scratch.
