As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.ResponsibilitiesWork on all aspects of the game.Work closely together with the content departments to implement the needed game featuresTranslate design wishes into technical requirementsDeliver features in full and on time. UI, engine, tools - all aspects should be covered and executed.Write robust and maintainable codeBe the first line of feedback on the features you are working on.Be an active participant in the design and production of the gameBring player perspective and technical expertise to the table.Plan and execute complex projects and features.Be transparent: regularly update stakeholders and production on your progressTeam player: continuously communicate and align with other team membersMentor team members and support the LeadRequirements5+ years of game development experience with c++ and proprietary engineExpert in C++Production experience with TDDProduction experience with ECSExcellent feel for RPG systems and gameplay in generalOpen-minded, willing to experiment and iterate over and over the featureConcepts as state machines, pathfinding, AI routines should be second natureAbility to think like a designer to create compelling and fun gameplayUpper-intermediate EnglishYou are a team player and willing to take responsibility for features, planning, and communicationPassion for making and playing great games.
