Requirements and responsibilities


• ONBOARDING: • Onboard: Meet with all new onboarding clients (MCP/Tax-only) - assuming 15 new clients per month and 1 hour per month = 15 hours per month • Tax Questionnaire: • Walk through the tax compliance process • Address Scope and Pricing/Tax Quote • Federal and State/Local- tax filings (complete or not complete) • Work with the Sales/Onboarding team to ensure client transitions smoothly to their Account Manager • Supervise SALT Senior to execute on necessary filings. • Assign & Supervise Income Tax team to execute on necessary filings. • INCOME TAX SUPERVISION: • Create and manage Tax Return Assignments. • Refresh the End of Year Client Tax Questionnaire: • Walk through the following year tax compliance process • Address Scope and Pricing/Tax Quote • Ensure that tax returns are being completed on pace. • Hold team members accountable to deliverables and quality. • Spend 20 hours per month in a Quality Assurance position - spot-checking tax returns & , provide reports on findings. • Develop and implement a grading system (similar to MCP) to systematically track quality. • CONSULTING TAX WORK: • Help troubleshoot Account Manager client tax issues. / Answer questions and resolve client’s tax problems, Resolve any IRS notices or audit requests. Reserve 20 hours per month. • Assist in all M&A transactions: gather documents, serve as senior liaison to Big 4/acquirer. (10 hours avg * 2 clients per month = 20 hours per mo) • TAX MENTORSHIP & LEADERSHIP: • Schedule Tax Team Internal Trainings (CPE) - provide 1 lunch and learn per month (=5 hours research time + 1-hour presentation) • Serve as a mentor and advisor to more junior accounting and tax staff • Perform a 1:1 with each tax team member once a month and report on findings/recommendations (= 5*1 = 5 hours per month) • Train new team members. (Reserve total of 70 hours).
