Are you passionate about creating inclusive learning experiences that empower every student to succeed? We are looking for an experienced Accessibility Designer to help design and deliver accessible, compliant, and engaging K-12 educational materials across print and digital formats.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign accessible textbooks, workbooks, and digital learning assets aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principlesCreate layouts, typography, and color systems that meet WCAG AA/AAA accessibility standardsEnsure educational content is usable by learners with visual, cognitive, and motor impairmentsDevelop accessible PDF and eTextbook structures with proper reading order and screen-reader compatibilityCollaborate with editorial teams to create meaningful alt text for diagrams, maps, charts, and mathematical contentSupport NIMAS/NIMAC compliance and accessible content conversion workflowsCreate and maintain accessibility-focused design templates and style guidesRequired SkillsExpert proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat ProStrong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and accessibility best practicesExperience with PDF tagging, object anchoring, semantic structures, and screen-reader optimizationFamiliarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) frameworksStrong attention to detail and commitment to inclusive designPreferred Qualifications3 years of experience designing K-12 educational productsExperience with NIMAS/NIMAC workflowsIAAP Certification (CPACC or WAS) is highly desirableExperience working with accessible educational publishing standardsWhy Join Us?Make a meaningful impact on accessible educationWork on innovative K-12 learning solutionsCollaborate with experts in educational publishing and accessibilityOpportunity to shape inclusive learning experiences for students of all abilitiesInterested candidates can share their updated resume at operations@qasolvers.com
