Requirements and responsibilities


The Senior Product Lifestyle Consultant will own and assist the full customer journey from demo through successful implementation, go-live, and beyond. Responsibilities include learning Jenzabar software, gathering and reviewing client business practices, deliver dynamic/high energy and engaging presentations of SONIS, configure software, train end users on the software, and document training/consulting engagements. The Consultant must be a proactive, self-starting professional and be able to travel. This position requires a solid understanding of Student Information Systems, along with a general understanding of higher education regulations, requirements and policies associated with key student-based offices.Essential TasksPerform customer needs assessments and solution finding sessionsReview customer operations to find improved business process opportunitiesUnderstand product capability gaps or functionality to define ways to handle them using partners, product enhancements, etc.Define the best company solutions which address requirements of prospect businessDesign and deliver product presentations based on the customer assessmentRequest and coordinate resources required to support sales effortsProvide responses for product and technical requestsParticipate at conferences, tradeshows, and other events as required by Sales Management and Product MarketingStay up to date with the latest Jenzabar software releases and provide regular briefings on changes for the teamProvide knowledge and training on products to peers, presales and sales staff in the organizationDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefitsEstablish and maintain connections with user groups, industry groups, etc.Practice continuous learning through self-guided reading and research of relevant business practices, including the student journey, strategies in higher education, analytics, and workflowConsult with and train end users on optimal configuration and use of Jenzabar’s Student Information System(s)Perform assigned project tasks with minimal supervisionFollow established methodology to meet project deliverables for all assigned tasksWork proactively and cooperatively in a team environment to accomplish project deliverables within defined scheduleCommunicate information clearly, accurately, and timely to Jenzabar and client project team membersGain a sound understanding and knowledge of the client's requirementsUnderstand the client’s business processes as they relate to the softwareExhibit excellent follow-up skills, including the development of detailed project documentationCollaborate with Project Manager and other project team members in executing assigned projectsStay abreast with industry trends and technologiesSolicit various viewpoints on potential implementation solutionsShare knowledge and insightsOther duties as assigned by managementWork with Support by taking Calls in a Round Robin Queue and perform testing of solution(s) and/or product on an as needed basisWillingness to travel (~50%)Preferred Skills and ExperienceBS, BA Degree, or equivalent experience5+ years (3 years must be in Higher Ed)Experience working in one or more of the following functional areas: Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Advising, Student Life, Business Office, AdvancementExperience with Jenzabar’s SONIS Student Information SystemAbility to work independentlyExcellent organizational skillsAbility to communicate well with othersAbility to work in a team environmentComfort level with evolving and ever-changing technologyAbility to translate technical complex concepts to functional end usersStrong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven effective listening skillsAbility to follow a project plan with attention to detail and follow throughExcellent presentation skills (to various audiences - executives & individual contributors)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop applicationsA passion for winningThe pay range for this position is $71,000-$83,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
