Requirements and responsibilities

Reports to: Head of ProductCompensation: $175,000 to $195,000 annual salary + benefits + equity + 401(k) matchLocation: Remote in the USAbout ReflexAIAt ReflexAI, we are building the operating system for conversation performance. We believe that people will always be at the center of high-stakes conversations, and our mission is to ensure they enter those conversations with confidence and deliver an exceptional experience every time. Our platform combines hyper-realistic AI-powered training simulations with intelligent QA to support frontline teams in mission-critical conversations. Our tools work in 25 languages, are endlessly customizable to meet each business's unique needs, and are used by customers ranging from crisis support call centers to healthcare organizations to customer service teams to sales teams negotiating big deals — any organization where empathy, quality, and excellence matter in every interaction.About this roleWe've built a product our customers can't imagine living without, and our business is growing rapidly. As we evolve from a product with strong market fit into something more ambitious — the operating system for conversation performance — great design has never mattered more.As Senior Product Designer, you'll be embedded with a product pod as a high-ownership IC. You'll own your work end-to-end — from early problem framing through shipped, polished product — and bring a strong point of view at every stage. You'll be an equal partner with PM and engineering, not a downstream executor: shaping what gets built, not just how it looks.Your impact won't stop at your own work. Design is required in varying degrees across everything we build — and part of what makes a great designer here is knowing when to go deep yourself and when to equip the engineers and PMs around you to make better decisions on their own. You'll create leverage that extends beyond your pod. What you'll doOwn design end-to-end for your pod — from early exploration and problem framing through implementation and iterationBe an equal partner with PM and engineering in shaping product direction, not just executing on itBring high craft to every surface you touch — strong UX thinking and sharp visual design, working togetherKnow when a problem needs your full design attention and when the right move is to consult, equip, and get out of the way — writing documentation, establishing patterns, or giving pointed feedback so engineers and PMs can move confidently without youNavigate ambiguous problems and make them clearer — for yourself and for the people you're working withCommunicate design decisions with clarity and conviction, and know how to bring stakeholders along without losing your point of viewActively use and experiment with AI tools in your design workflow, and help shape how the team works with them over timeYou might be a great fit if:You have 5–8 years of product design experience and a portfolio that reflects genuine craft — strong visual design, sharp UX thinking, and meticulous attention to detailYou've designed products people actually love to use, and you've brought that consumer-grade quality to B2B contexts where the bar is typically lowerYou've worked on AI-powered products and have intuitions about what good AI UX looks like — not just what's technically possible, but what's actually useful and trustworthyYou have a strong ownership mentality: you treat the product you're working on as yours, not a task list someone handed youYou know that great design isn't always about doing the design yourself — sometimes it's about writing the doc, establishing the pattern, or giving the engineer just enough direction to move well without youYou're actively experimenting with AI tools in your design practice — because you genuinely believe the craft is evolving and you want to be ahead of itYou're motivated by impact and velocity: you move fast, push for quality, and get restless when momentum slows down for the wrong reasonsYou're a strong collaborator who makes cross-functional work easier, not harder — engineers and PMs want to work with you againYou communicate with clarity: you can explain your design decisions, take feedback without defensiveness, and push back with a real argument when you disagreeYou're detail-oriented in a way that shows up in the work, not just in how you talk about workYou can't stop thinking about what would make the product better — in the shower, on a walk, first thing in the morning — and you can't wait to get to your desk to try somethingWhat we offerSome of the most rewarding work you will ever do, solving real problems and helping people be the best versions of themselvesWorking alongside a team that is exceptionally smart and ambitious, but also humble and kindFlexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United StatesGenerous retirement, equity, healthcare, and PTO policiesReflexAI is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race/ethnicity, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, military status, neurodiversity, or any other federal, state or local protected class in the United States.
