SUMMARY:We're looking for an experienced Gen Consultant to join our Application Modernisation practice. This role is ideal for someone with deep CA Gen expertise who enjoys solving complex legacy challenges, advising clients, and leading modernisation initiatives.You'll work closely with customers to help modernise business-critical systems, support application re-platforming and re-architecture projects, and provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle.This is a senior consulting role where you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with client-facing consultancy to help organisations transform legacy applications and ensure successful project delivery.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:Lead Gen consulting engagements with enterprise clients.Analyse existing legacy applications and recommend modernisation strategies.Support application re-platforming and system re-architecture initiatives.Install, configure, upgrade and optimise CA Gen environments.Design and develop solutions using CA Gen.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance.Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and propose technical solutions.Deliver projects within agreed scope, budget and timelines.Produce proof of concepts and technical prototypes.Contribute to technical proposals, solution designs and client presentations.Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and development processes.Mentor junior consultants where required.Support business development activities through technical expertise.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.Strong commercial experience with CA Gen.Experience installing, configuring and upgrading Gen environments.Strong understanding of: Application Development, Component-Based Development (CBD), Batch Processing, Transaction Processin, Relational Database, Performance Tuning, UI Design and Development.Experience delivering application modernisation or legacy transformation projects.Experience with application re-platforming.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience working directly with enterprise customers.Strong communication and consulting skills.Ability to work independently while managing client relationships.Strong English communication skills, written and verbalAWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:Experience with one or more of the following:COBOLIBM Mainframe technologiesISPFJCLSPUFISCLMJava.NETSpring BootAngularCloud platformsCI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOpsAutomation toolingWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Be part of our collegial environment where responsibility and authority are shared equally amongst colleagues and help create our company culture A culture in which we don’t criticise failure but ensure we learn from our mistakesAn Agile environment where your ideas are welcome The possibility to grow and experience different projectsOngoing Training & Mentoring The possibility to travel
