Our people are at the heart of our success.The Planning & Analytics Strategist is responsible for leading the development of business forecasting models and providing deep performance analytics to drive strategic decision-making. This role collaborates across Product, Marketing, and Finance to ensure high-fidelity demand planning and business performance tracking. You will be the point person for translating historical trends and market signals into actionable projections, helping the organization anticipate shifts and optimize resource allocation. The ideal candidate possesses strong statistical foundations, high business acumen, and the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling narratives that drive decisions at the executive level. This is a role for someone who doesn't just report numbers, but tells the story behind them, connecting the dots between performance, root cause, and what it means for the business going forward.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and manage demand forecasting models to support annual planning and ongoing re-forecasting cycles for eCommerce businesses Initiate planning and forecasting for both strategic partners and core business performance, providing a unified view across channelsPrepare weekly business review and MBR preparation, presenting performance analysis, scenarios, and recommendations directly to leadershipAnalyze key business performance drivers and variances against forecast, providing detailed root-cause analysis to stakeholdersSpearhead recurring performance reporting and ad hoc analyses to support ongoing business needsLead scenario modeling and performance measurement for promotional strategy, including depth, timing, and targeting decisions, with clear read-outs on lift, cannibalization, and margin impact, and build a reusable framework for evaluating future promotional scenariosOwn ongoing competitive and market intelligence (e.g. Zola, Minted, Shutterfly), feeding insights directly into promotional and product strategy rather than one-off researchServe as the source of truth for key business definitions and metrics across Registry, WWS, and Paper, ensuring consistency across stakeholder reportingPartner on cross-functional analytics initiatives, including the development and enhancement of predictive models to support revenue optimizationSupport strategic projects, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and investment ROI modelingSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:4-6 years of experience in Business Analytics, Strategic Planning, or Quantitative FinanceExpertise in forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis (e.g., time-series, regression, causal modeling)Proficiency in "Retail Math" and a strong understanding of business performance driversAdvanced Excel skills and high degree of comfort navigating ambiguous datasets and building scalable analytical frameworksStrong track record of influencing business strategy through data-driven insightsAbility to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution, communicate and influence effectively and clearly discuss performance to guide actionA proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on impact and execution(Preferred) Ability to use AI to build dashboards and connective story-telling models to present business results quickly and consistently WORK MODEL:This role is fully remote and not tied to any specific office location.
