Noonlight combines advanced technology with real humans to protect and comfort people so they can live freely. Launched in 2013 as a mobile application, Noonlight has since grown into a connected safety platform — partnering with products and services to enable modern and affordable 24/7 professional sensor monitoring, video monitoring, false alarm filtering, and data-rich emergency response via an API. Noonlight’s technology works everywhere in the United States and Canada, allowing end users to quickly get help in any situation, without requiring a 911 call or the ability to talk or text. Noonlight was recently acquired by Alarm.com, furthering its vision of automatic safety. It continues to operate as an independent business, with the elite knowledge, benefits, and backing of Alarm.com.
We are looking for an experienced designer to enrich our developer portal experience. As a Sr. Product Designer, you will be responsible for talking with B2B customers and gathering insights, influencing Noonlight’s developer portal roadmap, designing new features to meet customer needs, advocating for simplicity, and continuously improving our B2B customer’s ability to self-serve and launch quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Stay ahead of developer portal trends, best practices, and new technologies, and evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
- Connect with Noonlight’s implementation team and B2B customers weekly (software engineers, product owners, cofounders). Develop a continuous and deep understanding of how our B2B customers are currently using Noonlight’s developer portal, as well as how they’d prefer to use Noonlight’s developer portal.
- Design and maintain a simple, high-quality developer experience, while co-developing a design system to be used across Noonlight’s platform.
- Lead the entire design process, from initial concept and wireframes, to prototyping, to final UI design, ensuring the E2E experience is seamless (web, email, documentation, Nonlight branded API assets, etc.)
- Excel in ambiguity, and demonstrate an eagerness to iterate on ideas based on feedback from customers and stakeholders.
