Requirements and responsibilities

About the company We’re a rapidly growing insurance agency with thousands of agents selling through our platform. Technology is a core competitive advantage for us, and we’re building an internal CRM and sales enablement platform designed to scale with the business. The platform is currently live in beta with real users and real workflows. The next phase is critical: polish, harden, and bring the system into full production while continuing to expand functionality. This is where you come in. You’ll work directly with the two engineers leading development, as well as closely with the broader business and operations team. Engineering decisions here have a direct impact on agent productivity, growth, and revenue. The role We’re looking for a self-sufficient, product-minded full-stack engineer to help take a beta-stage platform across the finish line into full production, and then continue evolving it. We’re intentionally open to engineers who lean heavily on AI-assisted development (“vibe coders”), provided you have real software development experience and a strong understanding of systems. Tools like Cursor and Claude Code are encouraged. Knowing when to trust AI and when to slow down and reason is essential. This role spans backend, frontend, data, automation, and UX considerations. You’ll help stabilize systems, improve UX, and ensure the platform is production-ready for scale. What you’ll work on * Polishing and hardening a beta-stage insurance CRM for full production release. * Building and refining pipelines, workflows, and sales enablement tools. * Identifying and fixing edge cases, performance issues, and UX friction. * Working hands-on with Next.js and Supabase. * Designing and maintaining Postgres schemas and queries. * Building dashboards, analytics, and data visualizations. * Integrating and extending automation systems and third-party tools. * Collaborating directly with engineering and business stakeholders. Tech stack * Next.js. * Supabase (Auth, Postgres, Storage, Edge Functions). * PostgreSQL. * TypeScript / React. * AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.). * Low-code and automation tools (n8n, Make, ActivePieces, Zapier). What we’re looking for * Full-stack engineering experience in real production or late-stage beta systems. * Strong understanding of Postgres and relational data modeling. * Experience with Next.js and modern React. * Comfort using AI tools as part of your daily workflow. * Ability to reason about architecture, edge cases, and system behavior. * Experience with dashboards and data visualization. Important note on “vibe coding” We welcome AI-first workflows. However: * You should understand the code you ship. * You should be able to debug when AI is wrong. * You should understand how the system works end to end. If you rely on AI to move fast and understand the fundamentals, you’ll thrive here. Nice to have * Experience with CRMs, SaaS platforms, or internal tools. * Familiarity with insurance, fintech, or regulated industries. * Experience with low-code automation tools. * Experience in startup or high-growth environments. * Strong eye for product polish and usability. What this role is (and isn’t) ✅ High ownership during a critical production push. ✅ Direct collaboration with engineering and business leadership. ✅ Real influence on product direction and UX. ❌ Not a junior role. ❌ Not a ticket-only engineering position.
