We are involved in a large and diverse range of projects including architectural acoustics and environmental noise and vibration assessment. Our work spans across various market sectors and project delivery methods. BKL has provided consulting services in acoustics since 1966 and offers a friendly work environment with excellent opportunities for career advancement. BKL is seeking a skilled and experienced full-time Acoustical Consultant to join our team in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, manage full life cycle project management, collaborate with other consultants, and act as an advocate for the promotion of acoustics and BKL to clients, regulators, and influencers. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of consulting experience in acoustics, a recognized bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Acoustics, or related subject area, and a Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng. or equivalent). The position offers an annual salary commensurate with experience, generous benefits, and opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities: - Provide world class technical expertise to positively impact current and future clients and projects - Manage full life cycle project management including proposal preparation, conducting measurements, analyzing data, acoustical modeling, and report preparation - Work collaboratively with other consultants to meet project milestones and manage the contributions of junior and intermediate consultants - Present technical reports to clients and peer groups - Act as an advocate for the promotion of acoustics and BKL to clients, regulators, and influencers - Provide support and direction to the team of engineers, consultants, project managers, financial controllers, and administrators
