So, jump in, where FOMO meets killer deals, and let's turn every day into a retail party!About YouThe import planner monitors current stock levels of all imported goods, analyzes sales data to make informed buy-in decisions, and collaborates with the sourcing team to ensure the business has sufficient stock, to ensure maximum profit and minimal risk.Track stock sales performance of imported products and forecast to ensure we have sufficient stock levels of products at the right time and the right pricing. The stock needs to be managed to ensure that the business has minimal risk with bought-in stock.ResponsibilitiesPlanning & CoordinationDevelop and maintain import buy-in schedules to align with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.Using all relevant insights gained from stock management and forecasting to submit buy-in proposals to the relevant stakeholders.Assisting with the deal loading process to implement a buy-in when goods are due to arriveCommunicating all relevant information of a buy-in to relevant stakeholders to make an informed decision when approving a buy-in.Communicating approved buy-ins to the warehouse & procurement teams.Inventory ManagementAnalyzing warehouse stock to ensure that we purchase the right stock at the right time.Monitoring aged stock to ensure that we sell out before creating risk for the business.Adjust import plans based on demand changes, shipping disruptions, or supplier performance.Analyze data to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy.Liaising with the sourcing department to pinpoint areas of improvement for optimum overall stock management.Performance & Continuous ImprovementMaintain accurate records of import activities and report on KPIsSupport process improvement initiatives to streamline import buy-ins.Contribute to risk assessments and contingency planning for international supply disruptions.Experience and QualificationsTertiary qualification (preferably a BCom degree)At least 3 years of experience in a planning environmentSound analytical, organizing, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressureResilience is a value that you strongly align yourself withCompetency in all computer packages, i.e., Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and InternetAbility to work independently and within a team environmentExcellent numerical and analytical skills.
