With obesity as America’s largest chronic condition, impacting 175mm adults in a $600B market, we’re closing the care gap by offering the first value-based model in obesity treatment.Since launching Direct-to-Consumer in 2020, we’ve expanded into Enterprise channels to improve access, and our app-based experience supports members with coaching, tailored education, daily tracking, and community engagement across the four pillars of metabolic health: food, sleep, exercise, and emotional wellbeing.About the RoleWe are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our data team and support us in the use of analytics in both running our business and providing scorecards and insights to our clients and partners. In this role, you will help analyze operational and business data; create and maintain dashboards and scorecards for both running the company and for clients; and ensure our teams have access to timely insights.You will partner with teams across clinical, coaching, engineering, product, operations, and finance to answer questions, monitor performance, and support data-driven decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data career who is eager to build strong SQL and analytics skills, gain hands-on experience with healthcare and operational data, and grow into a fully independent Data Analyst over time.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport regular and ad hoc analyses to help answer key business and operational questionsAssist in tracking KPIs that we use to run the business, and help maintain and improve recurring reports for operating and performance metricsBuild and maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring teams have access to timely and reliable data for decision-makingPartner with cross-functional teams (including clinical, coaching, operations, member care, engineering and product) to help identify trends, answer questions, and surface insightsAssist in monitoring data quality and flagging inconsistencies, anomalies, or potential issuesCollaborate with the Data Engineering team and senior analysts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and usabilityDocument queries, reports, and data definitions to support transparency and reproducibilityBACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE0–2 years of experience in a data analyst role, internship, academic research, or similar analytical experienceWorking knowledge of SQL and ability to write basic queries to extract and analyze dataExperience using Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulationStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesEagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPreferredExposure to Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Mode, Looker, Tableau, or similar)Experience with clinical data a plus, but not requiredBasic familiarity with Python or RExperience with and/or passion for working in the healthcare industryFamiliarity with Git or version control toolsBasic understanding of data warehousing or data engineering conceptsAbility to work in a fully remote environmentBenefitsAt Calibrate, we’re committed to putting our team members in control of their health.
