Gateway Academy serves 6th-12th grade students with social and academic challenges through innovative approaches to learning, physical fitness, and social awareness. Our graduates encounter a changing world with self-advocacy, opening a path to personal significance in college, career, and community. Since our founding in 2006, we have increased enrollment each year and have continued to cultivate our academic, social and fitness programs as we support and encourage our students to become successful citizens of our changing world. Our highest priority from the very beginning has been to create a school where every student feels safe, connected, understood, and supported. Gateway Academy’s positive, engaging environment reshapes attitudes about school, improves outlooks for success in the classroom, and allows students to become the best version of themselves. The transformations that occur within our walls are not a product of formula or magic: they occur when students understand their potentials and become equipped to face the changing world with confidence, self-advocacy, and focus on a lifelong journey of personal significance.
