Position SummaryThe Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for leading the commercial expansion of IANTREK’s ophthalmic surgical portfolio across a designated multi-state region. This leadership role is accountable for driving revenue growth, accelerating surgeon adoption, developing high-performing teams, and executing strategic commercial initiatives aligned with the company’s mission and growth objectives.The RSD will lead, coach, and develop Surgical Glaucoma Managers (SGMs) while building strong partnerships with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, and clinical stakeholders throughout the region. This role requires a combination of strategic leadership, operational discipline, commercial execution, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth medical device environment.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong business acumen, clinical credibility, leadership capability, and a passion for building and scaling teams that deliver exceptional customer outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of Surgical Glaucoma Managers to achieve and exceed regional sales objectives.Establish a high-performance culture centered on accountability, execution, collaboration, and customer success.Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with corporate objectives, market opportunities, and growth targets.Drive consistent sales execution through effective territory management, funnel management, forecasting, and performance tracking.Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics including quota attainment, territory growth, sales cycle duration, and procedural adoption trends.Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts to senior leadership.Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, glaucoma specialists, ASC administrators, and key clinical stakeholders.Develop trusted partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders to support market development, physician education, and clinical adoption.Support surgeon onboarding and procedural adoption to ensure successful customer experiences and long-term account growth.Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and regional growth opportunities to inform commercial strategy and execution.Partner with SGMs in the field to support strategic accounts, new customer conversions, and complex clinical opportunities.Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top commercial talent while building a strong succession pipeline across the region.Conduct regular field coaching sessions focused on sales execution, clinical competency, business planning, and professional development.Create a culture aligned with IANTREK’s values, emphasizing trust, ownership, collaboration, speed, and patient impact.Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, development planning, and ongoing feedback.Collaborate closely with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Training, and Finance teams to support launches, educational initiatives, and commercial scaling efforts.Partner with the VP of Sales to ensure alignment on communication cadence, business priorities, regional initiatives, and organizational execution.Support national sales meetings, physician training programs, and regional educational events.Provide field insights and customer feedback to help shape product strategy, marketing initiatives, and operational priorities.Manage regional budgets, travel expenses, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and return on investment.Lead territory planning and expansion efforts by defining market coverage strategies and evaluating growth opportunities.Ensure all business activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Minimum 8+ years of medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience, including leadership responsibility.Prior experience leading regional sales teams in ophthalmology, ophthalmic surgery, glaucoma, or related surgical specialties strongly preferred.Demonstrated success driving commercial growth within a high-growth or emerging medical device organization.Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.Proven ability to build relationships with surgeons, KOLs, and executive-level healthcare stakeholders.Strong analytical and business planning skills with experience utilizing CRM and sales reporting tools.Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
