We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on a government-focused property tax management platform (eGov Suite). This role involves building scalable web applications, handling large datasets, and developing financial transaction systems.Key Responsibilities:Build and optimize data conversion pipelines for tax recordsDevelop and maintain PHP-based applications and CLI toolsWrite complex MySQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize performanceDebug financial transaction discrepancies (billing, receipts, penalties)Design and integrate secure RESTful APIsContribute to PHP 7.4 → 8.2 migration💡 Required Skills:7+ years of PHP development (OOP, CLI, frameworks like Symfony preferred)Strong expertise in MySQL (joins, indexing, performance tuning)Experience with financial/accounting data and reconciliationHands-on with Docker, Linux, GitSolid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/JWT➕ Nice to Have:Experience with government/municipal or tax systemsLarge-scale data migration experienceFamiliarity with tools like Phinx🌍 Work Setup:Remote role with overlap in US Eastern TimeCollaborative, async work environmentIf you’re passionate about solving complex data and financial challenges at scale, we’d love to hear from you!
