The ideal candidate owns the integration surface and the reporting layer: the plumber and the reporter for Vultr's internal control plane transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild the reporting infrastructure that Finance and Analytics actually trust (revenue dashboards, margin analysis, accrual reporting, audit trails)Design and implement ETL/data pipeline integrations between administer and Vultr's data warehouse, analytics tools, and any external ERP systemsCreate the API surface and event contracts that let downstream systems consume administer data reliablyBuild reconciliation tooling so Finance can verify data integrity without filing JIRA ticketsWork with the domain engineer to ensure reporting needs shape the data model, not the other way aroundImplement data quality monitoring and alerting for critical financial data pipelinesOwn the schema and contract versioning strategy for administer's integration APIsOptimize query performance for financial reporting workloads across large datasetsQualifications5+ years backend or data engineering, with experience in reporting systems, data pipelines, or ETLHas built reporting that Finance actually used, not just dashboards nobody trustsExperience with data warehouse architectures (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent)Strong API design skills, you think in contracts, not just endpointsComfortable across the stack: PHP for administer integration, Python/SQL for pipelines, whatever it takes for the reporting layerExperience with event-driven architectures and message queue systemsCompensation $110,000 - $130,000Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
