We are a global leader, with hubs in Europe, North America, South America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Account Executive to join the UK Public Sector team, focused on the Southern UK territory with a strong emphasis on new business acquisition (circa 60%) alongside growth of existing accounts (circa 40%).The role is designed for a highly motivated, early-career field sales professional (3–5 years’ experience) looking to build a long-term career in enterprise technology sales within the Public Sector.The successful candidate will expand Extreme Networks’ footprint across Local Government, Police Forces, and wider Blue Light organisations, alongside selected Central Government agencies.Career Development & Progression:Clear pathway to Senior Account Executive / Territory Owner within 18–36 monthsCoaching and mentorship from experienced Public Sector sales leadersExposure to enterprise sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDPICC)Opportunity to own larger strategic accounts over timeAccess to a high-growth Public Sector business with long-term career opportunityIdeal Candidate Profile:Public Sector exposure (Local Government, Police/Blue Light, Central Government advantageous)Demonstrable early sales success (pipeline generation, quota attainment, deal contribution)New business / hunter mindsetHighly ambitious, driven and self-motivatedStrong communication and relationship-building skillsCoachable with a growth mindsetAble to operate independently in a remote environmentEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Drive new business acquisition (circa 60% focus)Build and execute territory and account plansGenerate and manage pipeline with new logo focusWork with channel partners to develop opportunitiesEngage customer stakeholders across Public SectorSupport growth of existing accounts (circa 40%)Contribute to bids, frameworks and marketing campaignsEnsure strong customer experience lifecycleCandidate Requirements:2–5 years sales experience (technology preferred)Interest in new business/prospectingExposure to UK Public Sector advantageousStrong communication and organizational skillsWillingness to learn partner-led sales modelsPreference for South UK locationEvidence of managing a territory region will be important.Demonstrated success, with a track record of consistent sales (performing according to plan and forecast) while developing and maintaining large territoriesA strong background and ability in developing new customer acquisition (including cold calling) within a “green” field territory as well as maintaining longer term accountsThe ability to speak intelligently about Cloud SaaS, Data Networking, SDN, Virtualization, Security, Orchestration, Server/Storage considerations will be a large part of the interaction with customers and partnersExceptional influencing skills, ability to communicate at all levels and exude a positive attitude and high energy to achieve maximum resultsRecognized ability to produce high quality results working independently (high level of self-motivation needed) in a region with limited local support infrastructure. Good organization skills required!
