Preferred Locations: Toronto or Ottawa.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and evolve our compliance framework with a strong focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), third-party risk, and partner onboarding. This role will work closely with senior leadership, partners, and the Board to ensure compliance programs are practical, scalable, and aligned with business growth.The ideal candidate is confident engaging with executives and Board members, understands global partner ecosystems, and can design policies while also rolling up their sleeves to execute.Key ResponsibilitiesAnti-Money Laundering (AML) & Compliance ProgramOwn and oversee the organization’s AML program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.Develop, maintain, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and controls.Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact to the business, recommending updates as needed.Third-Party & Partner Risk ManagementLead compliance reviews of third parties and service providers, including:Understanding their business modelsIdentifying and assessing compliance and operational risksDocumenting findings and mitigation plansSupport partner onboarding, ensuring compliance requirements are met before activation.Act as a key compliance contact for incoming partners and strategic relationships.Policy, Insurance & OversightSet and maintain compliance-related policies, including oversight of insurance requirements.Ensure appropriate reporting mechanisms are in place and that issues are escalated with clarity and confidence.Governance & Board InteractionPrepare compliance updates, risk assessments, and reporting for senior leadership and Board members.Participate in and contribute to Board-level discussions with professionalism and authority.Continuity & Risk PlanningDefine and maintain continuity and succession plans for compliance responsibilities (e.g., coverage if key individuals leave).Identify gaps in compliance resourcing and recommend solutions.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Partner Management, Legal, and Operations.Partner with the Head of Partner Sales to support a globally distributed partner ecosystem.Collaborate with senior leaders and key contacts across the organization to ensure alignment and execution.Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience in Compliance, AML, or Risk Management, ideally in a regulated or partner-driven environment.Strong knowledge of third-party risk management and partner onboarding processes.Experience engaging with executive leadership and Boards.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with cross-functional, distributed teams.Excellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills.Why This RoleHigh-impact role with visibility at the leadership and Board level.Opportunity to shape and scale compliance practices as the business grows.Strong organizational support to ensure the right resources are in place for success.
