Job Summary Join our customer's innovative team as a Molecular & Cellular Biology Research Scientist, where you will drive cutting-edge discovery by evaluating mechanisms of action, genetic models, pathway biology, and omics data. Utilize your expertise to enhance scientific rigor, support AI model training, and advance impactful biomedical research – all from the flexibility of a remote setting. Key Responsibilities - Review and critique molecular and cellular biology experiments, including assay design, controls, and reproducibility strategies. - Analyze pathway biology, biomarker strategies, gene function, and validation studies for robust mechanistic insights. - Assess omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and advanced imaging data for scientific accuracy and interpretation. - Evaluate the application of genetic and knockout/CRISPR models in addressing research questions. - Design, interpret, and document experimental approaches to inform research best practices. - Provide structured scientific feedback and evaluations to support AI model training and research quality assurance. - Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively with team members through strong written and verbal skills. Required Skills and Qualifications - PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, or related discipline; or MS/BS with 8+ years of relevant hands-on research experience. - Minimum 3 years of laboratory research in academic or industry settings (biotech/pharma preferred). - Expertise in experimental design, wet-lab methodology, and literature analysis. - Deep understanding of genetic modeling, omics interpretation, and pathway analysis. - Proven ability to critically evaluate scientific data and experimental outcomes. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity in scientific reporting and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications - Experience evaluating data for AI-enabled or computational biology research. - Background in functional genomics, biomarker discovery, or high-throughput screening. - Demonstrated ability to synthesize scientific findings into actionable insights for interdisciplinary teams.
