Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Apache Beam/Dataflow to design and build scalable streaming and batch data pipelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and implement data pipelines using: • Pub/Sub • Dataflow (Apache Beam) • Build production-grade streaming pipelines. • Implement batch ingestion into BigQuery. • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines. • Optimize performance and cost of data processing. • Implement monitoring and alerting. • Ensure data quality, reliability, and validation. • Collaborate closely with the Data Architect. • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration. • Create monitoring dashboards. • Produce clear technical documentation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of data engineering experience. • Strong proficiency in Python or Java (Beam SDK). • Deep hands-on experience with GCP Dataflow. • Strong knowledge of BigQuery and query optimization. • Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools. • Experience with streaming data architectures. CONTRACT DETAILS • Contract Term: 2 months. • Seniority: Mid or Senior level. • Engagement Type: Contractor (LATAM standard model). • Extensions: Possible, based on performance. AVAILABILITY & TIME OFF • US-holiday alignment preferred. • Minimum 10–15 PTO days annually. • Contractor engagement (no employment benefits required).
