Araways is hiring a Remote, Full-Time C2C Contractual Senior Gardenlinux / Debian Systems Engineer (6-12 months).The Role: As our primary Gardenlinux expert, you will lead high-level troubleshooting, image customization, and system hardening. We need an engineer who thrives on kernel-level debugging, performance tuning, and building robust OS pipelines to ensure end-to-end stability.Key Responsibilities:Lifecycle Management: Manage configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Gardenlinux environments.Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex OS-level, kernel, and package-related issues, including deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Image Optimization: Debug custom builds, runtime behavior, and integrate images into CI/CD pipelines.System Hardening: Implement performance tuning and security protocols to ensure peak efficiency.Technical Requirements:Kernel Expertise: In-depth knowledge of kernel configuration, boot processes, and debugging.Debian & Systemd: Strong proficiency in Debian-based systems and advanced package management.Build Pipelines: Hands-on experience with Gardenlinux customization and automated deployment.Security: Proven track record in OS hardening and performance benchmarking.Deliverables:Technical incident troubleshooting and formal RCA reports (P1/P2).Configuration reviews and best-practice documentation.Knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams.Required Experience: 7+ years in Linux Systems Engineering
