micro1 is hiring 1 English Voice Coach to direct and evaluate spoken English data for LLM speech/TTS training and voice AI. You will guide talent, coach pronunciation and delivery, and assess recordings for clarity, naturalness, and dialect accuracy. This is precision audio work for experienced voice directors with strong dialect expertise.What you will doProvide voice direction for English speakers across scripts, prompts, and dialogues for TTS, ASR, and conversational AI datasetsCoach pacing, intonation, stress, articulation, and emotional tone to match target style, persona, and use caseAnalyze and evaluate recordings for pronunciation, fluency, prosody, noise, and alignment with annotation guidelinesSupport dialect and accent work: model, demonstrate, and QC General American, RP, and regional variants per briefDocument recording issues, failure modes, and coaching notes to improve scripts, rubrics, and data qualityRequirementsProven experience in voice directing, voice coaching, or studio talent direction for media, audiobooks, or voice AIStrong command of English dialects and phonetics, with ability to demonstrate and correct pronunciation + prosodySharp ear for audio quality issues: clipping, plosives, background noise, mouth clicks, and consistencyClear communication skills for giving concise, actionable feedback to talent and writing structured session notesComfort with recording setups, DAWs, and spreadsheets/labeling tools for high-volume, deadline-driven workBonusBackground in phonetics, linguistics, dialect coaching, or prior RLHF/speech data annotation for LLMsComp & details$40-$70/hour based on session complexity and expertise.1 opening.Remote-first with flexible scheduling.Ongoing voice dataset and QA work.To applyShare your CV, voice directing/dialect background, and 1-2 examples of coaching or QC work with your approach to feedback.
