Requirements and responsibilities
Position Type:
- This is a work-from-home position and phone-based role.
Responsibilities:
- Taking inbound and auto dialer phone calls to attempt to collect payments.
- Maximizing cash flow by taking inbound and auto dialer calls on patient accounts.
- Ensuring patient financial services are handled properly.
- Helping patients understand their pharmaceutical charges and assisting in resolving any resident questions or concerns.
- Maximizing cash flow by ensuring that an accurate and complete accounting of each member's balance due is maintained.
- Documenting and executing account reconciliation through potential adjustments and refunds due on beneficiaries' accounts.
- Monitoring and working payment errors and reversal reports on a weekly basis.
Work Hours:
- Core work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
- Start and end times are between these hours.
- Some flexibility in hours may be needed (8-hour shift between 8:30 AM and 6:00 PM EST).
- Training hours will reflect work hours.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong data entry (Excel/Access) and typing skills are required.
- Must have an understanding of Accounts Receivable.
- Must be able to work independently as well as be able to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D is beneficial, but not required.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business is preferred.
