Requirements and responsibilities


Position Summary: - Central Peninsula Hospital is seeking a Clinical Applications Analyst to support and optimize healthcare applications across the organization. - This role will serve as a key liaison between clinical users and IT, ensuring systems function efficiently, meet business needs, and support patient care delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Provide primary support for clinical and healthcare applications including EMR, PACS, and ERP systems. - Act as the main point of contact for end users, troubleshooting system issues and resolving application-related problems. - Analyze workflows and recommend system improvements to enhance efficiency and usability. - Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors to implement system upgrades and enhancements. - Perform system configuration, testing, and validation activities. - Support data integration and interoperability using standards such as HL7, DICOM, and EDI. - Develop and execute SQL queries for reporting, data validation, and troubleshooting. - Document system changes, workflows, and user procedures. - Provide end-user training and ongoing support. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 4 years of experience supporting healthcare applications such as EMR, PACS, ERP, or similar systems. - Intermediate experience with SQL. - Familiarity with healthcare data standards including HL7, DICOM, and EDI. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Experience with system integrations and interoperability.
