This role will focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and system orchestration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and automation who can drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability across multiple environments.Responsibilities include:Infrastructure Automation & IaCDesign, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform & Azure DevOps [Ansible as Secondary objective]Develop reusable modules for multi-environment deployments (dev, test, production)Automate provisioning of Virtual machines (VMware / Hyper-V), Networking components (VLANs, firewalls, load balancers), Storage systems, Cloud resources (Azure/AWS if applicable)Configuration Management & OrchestrationDevelop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform Plans, Azure pipelines and rolesAutomate OS provisioning and hardening, Application deployments, Patch management, Configuration drift remediationIntegrate Ansible/Terraform with CI/CD pipelinesSystem Integration & DevOps EnablementIntegrate automation workflows with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)Build automated pipelines for infrastructure deployment and validationImplement version control and change tracking for all automation artifactsInfrastructure & Platform EngineeringSupport and automate Virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi / Hyper-V), Windows Server and/or Linux systems, Networking (routing, switching, firewall policies)Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure complianceMonitoring, Logging & ReliabilityAutomate monitoring deployment and alerting configurationsImprove system reliability through automation and self-healing scriptsTroubleshoot automation failures and infrastructure issuesSecurity & ComplianceImplement secure configurations aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, or similar frameworksAutomate security baselines and compliance checksManage secrets securely (e.g., Vault, Key Vault)Documentation & StandardsDevelop and maintain Automation standards, SOPs and runbooksEnsure all automation is Version-controlled, Documented and AuditableRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure or DevOps engineeringStrong experience with Terraform (advanced) / Ansible (advanced)Experience with Virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V), Windows Server and/or Linux administration, Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms - CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) - Veeam Backup & ReplicationKnowledge of - OT/SCADA environments (highly desirable) - Cybersecurity frameworks (NERC CIP, IEC 62443)Scripting experience - PowerShell, Python, BashSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and own environmentsExcellent documentation and communication skillsDetail-oriented with a focus on automation quality and reliabilityWork ConditionsParticipation in on-call rotation and off-hours work when requiredSupport patching windows and deployment activitiesNice-to-HaveExperience building end-to-end automated environments from scratchStrong understanding of hybrid IT/OT infrastructureExperience with infrastructure migration or transformation projects
