Requirements and responsibilities


The Clinical Systems Analyst reports directly to the Chief Services Officer. The Clinical Systems Analyst will design and perform all aspects of Information Systems and related activities associated with clinical procedures, quality control processes, performance improvement activities and connectivity to other systems.Job Duties and Responsibilities  Work collaboratively with clients to plan, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutionsDesign, manage, and oversee projects and tasks for our clientsConfigure, build, document, test, modify, and maintain software applicationsProactively problem solve and determine the best course of action to meet the needs of our clients and their customersWork closely with end users to troubleshoot, diagnose and correct problems related to applications by identifying malfunctions in hardware and softwarecollaborate loosely with client’s technical team to maintain continuity of processConduct system enhancements/new features, build, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimizationsAnalyze business requirements and translate into system requirements making necessary revisions to system logicPerform system customizations including the development of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflowsAbide by HIPAA regulations of confidentiality for all activities and information accessedParticipate in the development of tools and training for end users’ competenciesEnsure clinical upgrades, patches and enhancements are comprehensively planned and tested before applying in the production environmentEstablish concise ad-hoc reportsDetermine project priorities based on the needs of our clients. Ensure completion of projects in a timely manner to comply with established deadlines. Actively work with Chief Services Officer and clients to determine and or adjust project prioritiesPerform and/or oversee ongoing maintenance of the Information Systems and their interfaces, as well as support activities of our clientsProvide technical support to our clientsProvide information and training related to Information Systems to our clientsProblem solves for clientsDevelop and maintain good relationships with clients and clients’ staffOther tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO, or the Chief Services OfficerJob QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree (Preferred)Epic Beaker AP or CP Certification (Required)Medical Technologist Degree (e.g., MT, MLT, MLS, etc.) (Preferred)Minimum 3 years of experience in Clinical Processes (Required)Minimum 2 years of experience in Laboratory Information Systems (Required)Minimum 3 years of Data Innovations Instrument Manager experience, including Rules (Preferred)Minimum 2 years of Epic Beaker CP and/or AP experience to include build, implementation, support and hands on end-user experienceKnowledge of clinical standards, documentation methods and existing practicesDemonstrated technical skills and aptitudes related to all computer related activitiesDemonstrated ability to understand all laboratory related computer applications, and the ability to learn and apply new applications and programsCompetenciesAbility to handle confidential informationAbility to work independently but also as part of a collaborative teamAbility to work around infectious biological specimens, caustics, toxic chemicals and irritants appropriately and safelyAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing prioritiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsExperience with Microsoft 365Ability to work remotelyAbility to travel up to 25%Be a part of our journeyAt JTG we believe employees are the company’s most valuable assets, and the key to our continued rapid expansion and success.
