About the roleThe Business Analyst will have the opportunity to gain exposure to and interact with key stakeholders (both internal and external) in business and finance. The Analyst will optimize data and turn them into actionable insights for the management to understand the essential information and enhance the decision-making. Furthermore, the analyst will work with the cross-functional teams to formulate advanced seasonal plans, analyse market trends and communicate revenue opportunities to senior leadership. They will also be able to gain insights and experience the fast-dynamic growing company.ResponsibilitiesGather, update and process performance dataConduct market research and generate business leads; ideas for business/consumer trends etc.Identify new business opportunities directly and indirectly related to allow the company to diversify and expandAnalyse business practices and goals and make suggestions for improvementsEstablish innovative ways to improve our systems, making data related more precise, timely and efficientProvide in-depth insights based on relevant data to the business units and managementSupport management in decision making by using financial numbers or key performance indicators and converting them into useful informationStudy and provide analysis that identify opportunity and mitigate risk to business needsPrepare performance indicators not limiting to financial numbers and converting it into useful informationRequirementsQualificationsPossess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or Equivalent from a recognised institution.ExperienceMinimum 1-2 year of experience as a business analyst, preferably in the Hotels industryExcellent numerical and communication skillsUnderstands data mining with reference to economic outlookKnowledge in Microsoft Office Suite software, including financial modelling graphs charting and presentationProficient research experience with ability to independently collect and evaluate economic and local market dataKnowledge of different types of databases and applications (SQL Server, MS Access)Personal qualities & attributesOpen-minded and tech savvyCreative, think out of the box and come out with innovative solutionsFamiliar with various online channelsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and communication skills to work with othersStrong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumenExcellent written, verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
