Responsibilities

Electrical / MEP Project Manager – U.S. Projects | Remote LATAM ELC Electrical Consulting is a growing U.S.-based electrical engineering firm looking for a strong Project Manager to help run multiple design and construction-phase projects across the United States. This person will work closely with our Director of Operations and engineering team and will gradually take full ownership of projects—from kickoff through design, permitting, and construction administration. Responsibilities include: - Run multiple U.S. engineering projects and keep schedules, deliverables, and action items moving. - Communicate directly with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and our internal engineering team. - Attend and lead project coordination meetings. - Coordinate project staffing and follow up with engineers/designers on deadlines. - Manage RFIs, submittals, OCA/construction administration, client comments, and project correspondence. - Organize project files, drawings, emails, meeting notes, and other project information. - Use ChatGPT/AI-based project workflows to maintain project context, organize information, prepare meeting summaries, draft correspondence, track open items, and assist with RFIs/submittals. - Review AI-generated work for accuracy and make sure important project information is properly captured. - Identify schedule, scope, staffing, or client issues early and help resolve them without requiring constant direction. - Eventually independently manage projects and become a key part of ELC's operations team. What we're looking for: Excellent spoken and written English is a must. Strong project-management, organization, communication, and follow-through skills are essential. Experience with U.S. MEP/electrical engineering projects, construction documents, NEC, Revit/Bluebeam, RFIs, submittals, and construction administration is highly desirable. This is a fully remote contract position. Normal working hours will generally overlap with U.S. Eastern Time, but flexibility is required for occasional later meetings with West Coast clients, potentially as late as 4:00 PM Pacific Time / 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
