Together.SummaryWe are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to own the core accounting infrastructure of a growing, global, post-Series B company.This person will lead the company through a rigorous GAAP close, consolidation, revenue recognition, reporting, audit, payroll partnership, finance administration, and accounting systems environment. The role requires someone who can operate at both the technical and operational level: able to work through complex accounting questions, improve financial systems, develop a strong team, and continuously increase the leverage of the finance organization through automation, AI, clear standards, and scalable processes.We intentionally operate with a lean finance organization. Success in this role will not come from adding layers or headcount. It will come from building better operators, stronger systems, cleaner processes, and a finance function that can scale significantly without becoming unnecessarily complex. This is ideal for a high-potential manager who aspires to learn, lead, and grow their career into a future finance leader.What you’ll be doingOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, driving a disciplined, accurate, and increasingly efficient GAAP close processLead global consolidation across multiple legal entities, currencies, and jurisdictions, including intercompany accounting and eliminationsOwn advanced and technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, complex transactions, accounting policy, and GAAP interpretationOwn preparation and review of internal and external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely deliveryLead the evolution of the company’s accounting systems, integrations, and financial data architecture, reducing manual processes and improving control and visibilityPartner closely with People Operations on global payroll, ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliations, controls, and coordination across payroll providers and entitiesOversee core finance administration, including banking, treasury administration, entity support, expense and vendor processes, accounting documentation, and related operational workflowsLead the company’s external financial statement audit, managing audit readiness, supporting schedules, technical accounting documentation, and auditor relationshipsEstablish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, controls, and documentation appropriate for a growing global organizationPartner with business leaders to ensure financial reporting accurately reflects business performance and supports decision-makingProactively identify financial, accounting, systems, and process risks and resolve issues before they create downstream problemsLead a deliberately lean finance organization, developing direct reports into stronger operators and increasing team capability through systems, automation, standards, and clear ownership rather than relying primarily on additional headcountWe’ll be excited if you haveActive CPA required8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience owning close, consolidation, reporting, and technical accountingDeep knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and demonstrated ability to independently research and resolve complex accounting mattersPrior experience in a post-Series B or later-stage, high-growth technology companyExperience working with global entities, multi-entity consolidation, intercompany transactions, and international accounting operationsStrong experience with revenue recognition and other advanced accounting topics relevant to a SaaS or technology businessDemonstrated ownership of annual external audits and audit readinessStrong understanding of accounting systems, ERP environments, integrations, and financial data flowsHighly technical and AI-savvy, with a track record of using automation and technology to materially improve finance operationsExperience partnering with People Operations on payroll, ideally across multiple countries or payroll providersExperience managing and developing accounting professionals in a lean operating environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to move fluidly between strategic issues, technical accounting, systems architecture, and hands-on executionComfortable operating in an environment where processes are still evolving and where leaders are expected to build rather than inherit fully mature infrastructureAbility to work U.S. business hoursLocationThe role is remote based in India.
