Requirements and responsibilities
🚀 About the role:
◽ As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for local and network wide hardware and software.
◽ As a member of our Information Technology team, you’ll be monitoring Trex’s entire network to ensure proactive resolution to issues in a 24x7x365 environment.
🔵 Requirements:
◽ A bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar program is required, along with five-or-more years of experience managing and maintaining a corporate network environment.
◽ Expert in network engineering.
🔵 Additional requirements include:
◽ Experience with creating and managing group policy, PowerShell scripts, and other advanced Windows administration.
◽ Active Directory/Windows 2012 or above experience.
◽ Experience with MPLS, SD WAN and VPN methodologies.
🔵 Responsibilities:
◽ Manage all network topology and design.
◽ Define, document, and enforce network standards as it relates to security.
◽ Manage network standards, best practices, and configurations in a complex air-gapping environment.
◽ Maximize performance by optimizing network configurations and scheduling updates and upgrades.
◽ Monitor network to ensure proactive resolution of potential performance issues.
◽ Lead and drive networking projects.
◽ Manage VPN solutions and connectivity.
◽ Manage network design and connectivity to cloud-based solutions, such as AWS.
◽ Interact and manage relationships with vendors for all network devices and services.
◽ Manage outside services for WAN and internet connectivity service and support.
◽ Track and document interaction on helpdesk tickets.
◽ Assist with IT projects that require infrastructure support.
◽ Manage and perform monthly server patching.
◽ Perform on-call duties as required.
◽ Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral problems.
◽ Provide SOX audit support when necessary.
◽ Provide support to junior-level support technicians.
