Medium is seeking an experienced Product Engineering Manager to lead and manage a full-stack Quality Distribution engineering team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product, content, and design teams to define product strategy and roadmap, develop and mentor engineering talent, and ensure the quality and scalability of the product. This is a fully remote position with generous benefits and a compensation range of $220,000 - $320,000 per year. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a full-stack Quality Distribution engineering team responsible for building the main surfaces of the Medium product. - Collaborate with product, content, and design teams to define product strategy and roadmap. - Develop and mentor engineering talent, providing guidance and support for their professional growth. - Clear obstacles for your team so they can maintain a high development speed. - Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. - Ensure the quality and scalability of the product by implementing best practices and driving technical excellence. - Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve product offerings. - Report directly to the SVP of Product and Engineering and work closely with them on technical, team structure, process, and recruiting strategies.
