We are seeking a highly qualified Anesthesiologist to join our team at Suburban Community Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist who is eager to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. The role of an Anesthesiologist at our facility includes providing quality anesthesia services to patients before, during, and after surgery. The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for evaluating the patient's medical history and providing pre-operative and post-operative care. In addition, the Anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia for a variety of surgeries, including orthopedic and vascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will have experience to seek directorship and will cover a primary site and two other local suburban sites when needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with compensation for extra hours worked. There are generously compensated beeper calls from home approximately 6 -10 days per month, including rotational weekend call from home. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in the anesthesia care team and also perform your own cases, with a professional and collegial group. The facilities include Lower Bucks Hospital, Suburban Community Hospital, and Roxborough Memorial Hospital. The case focus includes general surgery, orthopedic surgery with regional blocks, urology, GYN, robotics, bariatrics, podiatry, plastics, endo, and Cath lab coverage for TEEs and interventional cases. There is no neurosurgery, cardiac, pediatrics, obstetrics, or trauma. The successful candidate will enjoy an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to work in a highly respected health system. Responsibilities: - Provide quality anesthesia services to patients before, during, and after surgery - Evaluate the patient's medical history and provide pre-operative and post-operative care - Provide anesthesia for a variety of surgeries, including orthopedic and vascular surgeries - Cover a primary site and two other local suburban sites when needed - Participate in the anesthesia care team and perform own cases - Be available for generously compensated beeper calls from home approximately 6 -10 days per month, including rotational weekend call from home
