Requirements and responsibilities


Job Responsibilities: * Customer Value Focus: Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Engineering to ensure technical work directly supports customer outcomes. * Team Leadership and Delivery Oversight: Oversee the team’s projects and priorities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. * Hands-On Engineering: Contribute to the codebase, helping design and build scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions. * Cross-functional Execution: Work with Product Managers to implement product features and improvements. * Compliance and Security: Ensure all solutions meet security and SOC 2 compliance standards from the ground up. * Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align on goals and surface risks early. * Team Development: Manage team performance, provide mentorship, and support career growth for engineers on the team. * Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on innovation and accountability. Job Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience. * Proven experience with one or more of the following languages: TypeScript, Java, Ruby, or Python. * 3 years of experience with React or Angular. * Minimum of 2 years leading a team of 3 or more engineers. * Demonstrated expertise designing secure and scalable systems. * Strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming. * Experience in web development and distributed systems. * Expertise in scalable architectures and high-availability systems. * Ability to responsibly apply white hat and black hat methodologies. * Proactive mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Passion for team development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. * Willingness to travel occasionally, domestically and internationally.
