User Researcher at Whatnot

We’re innovating in the fast-paced world of live auctions in categories including sports, fashion, video games, and streetwear. User research is different at Whatnot; it is a cultural principle to talk to our users and an integral part of everyone’s role. Your goal will be to help facilitate this user-first culture while leading focused deep dives to gain an intimate understanding of strategic problems and opportunities. You will work closely with Whatnot’s leadership and core product teams. Responsibilities: - Collaboratively identify high-impact questions to shed light on key product or business problems / opportunities. - Plan and lead targeted research studies with a strong command of qualitative methods including user interviewing and sophisticated survey methodology - Clearly communicate research insights for cross functional teams to translate research findings to product and business impact - Facilitate monthly research to help core product teams talk to users directly and help improve the ease of bringing user feedback into the product development process. - Help drive strategic initiatives across the company
