Responsibilities
* Dispatch and coordinate loads daily with drivers, carriers, and brokers.
* Monitor active shipments and provide real-time tracking and status updates to customers.
* Secure capacity through load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and carrier networks.
* Negotiate freight rates with carriers and brokers to optimize profitability.
* Communicate proactively with drivers regarding routes, appointments, and updates.
* Handle exceptions, delays, or load changes promptly to minimize service failures.
* Process and maintain shipping documents, including Rate Confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and invoices.
* Manage TONU, detention, and layover requests in compliance with company policies.
* Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to meet customer expectations.
* Maintain accurate records in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
* Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
